Join your fellow AMS and NAMA members as we partner with NAMA on a journey to encounter the Mogollon Rim's surprisingly diverse and abundant mushrooms! This NAMA Regional Foray will be a small, friendly event, (limited to 100 attendees), focused on the culinary-arts aspects of mycology and based at the charming, luxurious Strawberry Inn resort in Strawberry, Arizona.
NAMAZona Highlights:
- Friday: 5-course tasting menu, expertly crafted by five renowned rockstar mycochefs, where each dish will feature flavor of local fungi and wild ingredients of the region.
- Saturday: esteemed mushroom hunter and Chef Chad Hyatt presents a wine-paired, multi-course dinner highlighting the seasonal flavors of Arizona's wild landscape.
- Mushroom Forays, culinary-arts workshops and cooking demos, and chef panel discussions throughout the event.
The Strawberry Inn offers gorgeous, charming accommodations! Please note that many of the NAMAZona lodging options are best suited for groups and, as always, we will lean heavily into mycofellowship with this event! Please review the links and photos for each lodging type to figure out what options will work best for you. Certain lodging options filled to capacity provide the most affordable way to attend this 5-Star Fungi/foodie-centric event – so gather up your mycobuddies* and let's get cozy! It's going to be a fun one!
Dinner and activities will be hosted at the beautiful Strawberry Lodge which is right across the street from the Strawberry Inn!
Our Voucher Collection Project will be on hand to record and preserve records of fungal diversity! Strawberry Inn provides a luxurious setting, with both private accommodations and space for your group to gather and celebrate. This event is limited to 100 attendees and tickets are going fast!
