The Arizona Mushroom Society is partnering with the historic Strawberry Lodge to host an exclusive morel dinner for members and friends. If you have not had a chance to find morels for yourself this season, or simply want to enjoy them in the company of like-minded friends, you will not be disappointed by this one-of-a-kind event.
Sitting near the base of the Mogollon Rim, the town of Strawberry, AZ is a picture perfect small mountain town surrounded by tall pines, hiking trails, and dirt roads leading to adventure. The Strawberry Lodge is a landmark in town, which closed a few years ago and is currently being renovated for a grand re-opening. Given our bountiful year of morels we wanted to celebrate this unparalleled past spring and raise a glass (and a few forkfuls of delicious morels) to the exciting future of the lodge.
This exclusive "pop-up" dinner will be one to remember-- an outdoor event with a warm fire, delicious food, and an unforgettable setting. All morels for the meal were collected in Arizona during the excellent Spring 2019 season, and donated by generous members of the Arizona Mushroom Society. The dinner will be prepared by Chef Brian Konefal of the well-known Coppa Café in Flagstaff. He will be assisted by the Strawberry Lodge staff, led by AMS Member and new Lodge owner, Ricky Simone. Meals will cost $45/person + drinks and $55/person + drinks for non-members.
Since this event will require ordering food and supplies ahead of time you must register by June 23. Registration will be closed after June 23.
