Join us for the 3rd annual Hart Prairie Preserve Pick and Cook Foray, on Sunday, August 25, 2019. This event includes a unique opportunity to hunt, learn, and eat mushrooms on The Nature Conservancy's productive Hart Prairie Preserve.
Registration is open as of August 8, 9:00 a.m.
After a morning foray, participants will gather back at the lodge, for a chance to taste a myriad of cooked wild mushrooms from the morning foray and from surrounding areas. The tasting portion of the event will include other tasty treats including homemade wines, and other exceptionally crafted snacks.
This exclusive event costs slightly more than usual at $45/person because it is a fundraiser with profits going to The Nature Conservancy. It is important for our organization to give back to the land, and I can think of no better way to do it than with this special, one-of-a-kind event.
The Hart Prairie Preserve has very limited parking, thus we will need folks to arrive a bit early at 8:30 so we can carpool to the preserve from nearby parking.
The event is set-up so that each registrant can include one guest, who will also have to be registered and pay for the event.
We ask that you do not bring children to the event (due to the presence of alcohol). No pets allowed.
The actual event will start at 9:00 am and go until 2:00 pm.
