We are offering a unique foray opportunity this Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 9am for those who love to both hike in challenging environments and mushroom hunt!

Recent scouting efforts show that the mountains have received substantial rains, especially in higher elevations in the Flagstaff area. This event will include hiking up steep slopes at high elevation to check out high elevation fungi.

This is a snap event put together for anyone who may be available and interested in a challenging and interesting fungi-focused uphill hike. We have many other (less intense) events currently planned and more that will be posted on the event calendar over the coming weeks. 

Please only register if you are in good health and feel comfortable with physical exertion at elevations above 10,000 feet.
